A few reminders from Mr Whelan:
- Please remember to send your child in with a water bottles every day. The weather may eventually get warmer and the children need to stay hydrated!
- Please listen to your child read at least 4 times a week and sign their diary. It really does make a difference to their learning and they enjoy getting their Karate Reading certificates.
- Please could all children continue to learn their times tables. It has been something that many haven't revised over lockdown and again, knowing the multiplication and division facts is a vital aspect of maths.
Wow - it's the final half term! While there have been many challenges for us all this year, Sandymouth have been resilient, brilliant and a pleasure to teach!
Our last curriculum Project this year is Blue Abyss:
Grab your wetsuit. We’re going deep into an underwater world of incredible coral and mysterious sea creatures. Can you pick a favourite fish, plant or animal? What do real divers get up to below the surface? What are those bright lights in the distance? It’s a group of bioluminescent sea creatures. What else lurks down underneath the ocean? Flippers on? Snorkel ready? Let’s head into the Blue Abyss.
Our PE day continues to be on a Monday and as before, please could all children arrive at school wearing appropriate PE clothing. We shall be learning athletics and bat and fielding skills (rounders in this case).
In PSHE, we will be learning about Growing and Changing. Our RE this half term is Sacred Places.
As always, should you have any questions, then please do not hesitate to come and see us.
Mr Whelan, Mrs Dowling and Cerys
