Welcome to Widemouth Class!
We are delighted to welcome the children back and begin another exciting term of learning.
This half-term our main project is 'Hola Mexico'.
In maths, we will be focusing on measurement, area, perimeter and area and ratio.
In English, we are starting with poetry (after SATs) writing using 'Moth' as our stimulas. We will continue with our reading, vipers and SPAG work. The class book is 'Dreadwood'.
PE is on a Tuesday and Thursday so please ensure that your child comes to school in their PE kit on those day.
Children should read daily at home and parents/ carers are asked to sign their reading record four times a week. Their reading books and journals should be brought into school every day.
The children will also have maths and English homework each week. This will be set on a Friday and will be due on the Friday of the next week.
Please could we remind you to send your child with a water bottle and appropriate clothing every day.
Please contact us if you have any questions or anything you would like to discuss.
